| What a great reason to take a day off work. Hang out with a bunch of 4th graders on their field trip to the Hutchinson Salt Mine. We have been there several times, but never with a tour guide who also took us to a restricted area. The salt mine started back in 1922. Men used to load salt cars by hand. The roof also was about five feet high, so grueling work. No wonder they were called "muckers". |

| This afternoon, we went to the Engineering Fair at the Wichita Area Technical College. There are various booths set up with different activities. We took Sam and Ben's friend Seth with us. Sam looks thrilled to be there doesn't he? Sam finally warmed up. Here, they were making some paper rockets and blasted them off using an empty 2 liter bottle filled with air. |

| Happy President's Day!! We thought we would be students for a day on the WSU campus. Well, mom's a student anyway. Saw Fred Vanvleet in line at Chic-Fil-A. Went bowling downstairs at the student center. Brings back memories, but wow has that place changed. |

| Dad had a few chores to do today. The weather was nice today and the streets were getting dry from the snow, so we dragged the boys out to wash the cars. |
