| Sam had a field trip right before the weather turned cold. It was at the Great Plains Nature Center/ There was an outdoor and indoor activity. Miss Patty from center here is showing us some of the evergreen trees and how birds eat the seeds on the tree, leave their evidence and thus more trees grow. |

| Sam and his team are digging up fossils. As you can see below, there are 4 quadrants in the box. The piece of paper was divided in to 4 quadrants as well. Sam here is drawing one of the fossils he found. |

| Did you know that grasshoppers lay their eggs in sidewalk cracks? That one "cracked" me up. |
