Mr. Music Please

Patty cake

Ben can perform 3 "tricks" on command. One - wave bye bye. Even when he hears someone say goodbye, he starts waving. Two- Pattycake. Just mention the word pattycake and Ben begins clapping. And Three- dance. Mention the word dance or turn on some music, and Ben begins to wiggle from side to side. Here Ben is playing with his Shake and Rattle Pooh. The premise of this toy is that when you shake the rattle, Pooh shakes and sings. Ben understands that he needs to shake the rattle, but then begins to dance with Pooh and forgets to shake the rattle, when he realizes that Pooh has stopped singing - you can almost see his mind thinking - and then he starts again with the rattle. Try to keep from laughing.

PBA-not!

We went bowling tonight for the first time. Of course, there were the bumper rails, for dad , not for Sam. Sam really enjoyed watching his ball come up the magic chute. He also enjoyed drying his hands with the fan. He said at one point, "I need to dry my hands." He made it through one and a half games and then was mr. goofball.

Leave it up to me!

It was a balmy 68 degrees today or something like that. The miracle was that there was no wind, so we raked up a big pile of leaves today and had fun!!

Sam the Cook

Sam has really enjoyed helping mommy cook. Here, he is preparing Mexican 2 bean chili. This is a very easy recipe and VERY good. Lot's of cans. Here's the recipe :)

3 cups cooked chicken shredded or cut up
2 14 1/2 oz. cans chicken broth
16 oz. jar mild thick and chunky salsa
15 0z can black beans drained and rinsed
15 oz can pinto beans drained and rinsed
8 3/4 oz can corn, drained
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced (1/2 tsp minced garlic in the jar)
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoon chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin

Garnish with cheddar cheese and Fritos

combine all ingredients except garnishes in a large stockpot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings. You may also place all ingredients in to a slow cooker/crockpot for a few hours on low

We got a new camera. The top picture with Ben was taken at Grandma and Grandpa Keefers. It's nice having a new camera that does not need to be recharged all of the time.

Oooops did I get caught playing with my brother's toys?

Sam's hair has gotten out of control. Sam's hair almost looks like his cousin Brooke's hair.
