Walter's Pumking Patch

We've never been out to Walter's Pumpkin Patch before.  It's north of El Dorado on Highway 77.  This weekend was half-price, so we thought we should take advantage of this great deal.

Sam and Ben both wanted to mine for fossils and gem stones.  They washed out their treasure in the little stream of water and were able to bag them up and take them home.

Ben loved making mud pies!

Love it!

Well, it eventually had to happen

We all got our eyes checked last week.  Sam's in the clear, but we knew early in the eye test that Ben was going to need glasses.  I think they look great!

Cowtown!

We spent the beautiful morning on Saturday roaming Cowtown.  This is an early version of the I-pad that Ben is holding in the school house.

The certainly isn't the "Alley".  No automated scoring or cosmic bowling here.

Where is the year going?

Well, we are full steam ahead with another school year starting.  We went to the zoo on Labor Day.  It was nice and cool.  The lions were extremely noisy!

Finally, Ben first missing tooth.

Against his better wishes, Sam is in command with safety patrol

Seems like our first day of school pictures are adding up
