Dancing the Decades

Every year about this time the whole school gathers and dances on the front parking lot of the school.  This year, the grades divided their dances in to "decades".  Sam has been practicing for a long time.  Here, he is dancing to the "Electric Slide".
Can you say "uncoordinated?"

St Louis Cont'd

The highlight of our trip was taking Sam and Joey Horseback riding.  Joey has been riding horses for quite some time and the Hudson's were generous enough to treat Sam to a riding lesson.  Sam was nervous at first, but had a great time.  We are going to look at him taking some further lessons at C Arrow Stables

Joey is actually a professional jockey and makes millions

We spent some time at a pretty park close to Scott and Jennifer's home.  Sam and Joey found some perfect dirt to dig in

KC/St Louis Cont'd

We stopped off at Powell Gardens outside of KC where they had some scarecrows.  We think this was the best one

150 year Kansas Parade

Ben looking for the beginning of the parade
Governor Sam Brownback
Of course, we had to stand up whenever the flag walked by
I have no idea what the Bat Mobile has to do with Kansas being 150 years old, but still cool
We had a great time at the parade and was over right when it started raining.  Thankfully, our car was parked right behind us
