Just like Dad
Ever since Sam got a pair of Crocs (those rubbery shoes with holes in them) Ben has been trying to steal them so he can wear them. Since they were a little big for Ben, we went to Wal-Mart to by the knock off version for Ben. He loves them so much that when he first gets up, he wants to wear them. If they come off, he sits down and whines until someone comes to help put them back on. When Sam's shoes aren't available, Dad's will work.

Watch out bad guys
Here are some pictures of Sam and his friend Ethan striking a pose to scare away any potential enemies. Ben is entralled. Incase you are unfamiliar with the characters...Sam is the Green Power Ranger and Ethan is Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
ps. all those muscles on Sam's chest are his own - not a costume. (ha ha)

The Rescue Heroes at Bible Study Fellowship
Sam has returned to playing Bible Study Fellowship at least twice a day. The Cars have attended, the Planet Heroes, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks, all have had a chance to hear the Word of God this past week.
Each day begins with the selection of "a leader, a co-leader, and a volunteer." Once they have been selected, Sam selects the class members.
Sam looks at the nonexistent helper chart to see who the flag helper is. They get the flag and stand in the middle of the circle holding the flag. We then all hold up our right hands, (or wheels in the case of the cars or monster trucks) and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Sometimes we talk a little bit about the flag, like how many stars there are, or what colors are on the flag, or what certain words mean, like allegiance.
Then the flag is returned to the holder, and we get ready for the Bible Story. Sam again looks at the "helper chart" to find the Bible Helper, and Treasure Box Helper." They go, and very carefully bring the Bible, God's true word, to the leader who is giving the story. Sam randomly selects a scripture, and mom reads a bit from the Bible. Sam pulls out his imaginary list of questions. There are always 4 questions. I think it is amazing that Sam can come up with questions about the story, when he is only listening to what I read. Of course, the last question is always "From what book does our true story come from?" Then Sam tells the entire class to answer that question.
After the story, the volunteer and the snack helpers are excused to set up the snack. Meanwhile the class plays either, "Way up high in the apple tree..." with each class member telling their favorite snack to replace the "apple"." or "Way up high on the second floor.." with each class member visiting. Sam then dismisses the class, usually by the color of something they are wearing to go enjoy the snack, which all week has been some leftover popcorn. During snack we talk about different ways we can show love to others, or some other topic that Sam comes up with.
After snack we all come back to the carpet and lay with our heads down, and bodies still for Quiet Time. Sam will come up with a topic for the class to talk to God about while they are being quiet.
I am so thankful to those who have had a part in teaching Sam about Jesus. When I lay with him at night, and we pray, I am continually encouraged that Sam is gaining in his knowledge about how much Jesus loves him.
